Dubai Adds 24,000 New Property Units in H1 2026

Dubai’s real estate sector demonstrated robust growth in the first half of 2026, with the completion of 104 projects adding more than 24,000 new property units across the city. This surge represents a 36% increase in unit deliveries compared to the corresponding period last year, signalling a significant expansion of available residential and commercial stock.

The newly completed projects collectively represent an investment value of approximately Dh111 billion. This figure marks an estimated 52% rise in investment value compared to the first six months of the previous year.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, reviewed the official report on these completions. He noted that the figures highlight the sector’s sustained upward trajectory. “A total of 104 real estate projects, with a combined investment value of approximately Dh111 billion, were completed, representing an estimated 52% increase. These projects also added more than 24,000 new real estate units in Dubai, up 36% compared with last year,” Sheikh Hamdan stated in a social media post.

These completion figures offer a clear indication of the substantial volume of new property entering the market. The increase in units provides homebuyers and investors with a wider selection of properties, catering to diverse market demands across various segments.

Sheikh Hamdan linked these impressive statistics to the ongoing confidence in Dubai’s property setting and its broader investment environment. He affirmed, “Today’s figures reflect the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reaffirming the strength and resilience of Dubai’s real estate sector and the growing confidence in its investment and business environment.” He further added that “Dubai’s ambition and leadership know no limits,” reinforcing the emirate’s commitment to continuous development and economic advancement.

The delivery of over 24,000 units in just six months highlights the rapid pace of construction and development in Dubai, positioning it as a leading global real estate destination. The substantial increase in both unit count and investment value reflects the market’s appeal to both local and international investors, who continue to view Dubai as a stable and lucrative environment for real estate investment.
